75 Soft Challenge: A Balanced Approach to Wellness

If you’ve heard of the 75 Hard Challenge, you know it’s all about extreme discipline and pushing yourself to the limit. But for many, the rigid structure can feel overwhelming or unsustainable. Enter the 75 Soft Challenge, a gentler, more flexible take on creating healthy habits that fit into real life.

What is the 75 Soft Challenge?

The 75 Soft Challenge is a 75-day wellness journey with guidelines that prioritize balance over perfection. It’s designed to help you cultivate habits that improve your physical and mental health while leaving room for flexibility and self-compassion. Here’s the basic breakdown:

  1. Exercise for 45 minutes daily, 5 days a week.
    This could be a gym session, yoga class, a brisk walk, or even playing your favorite sport. The focus is on consistency, not intensity.

  2. Drink 3 liters of water daily.
    Staying hydrated is key to feeling energized and supporting overall health.

  3. Eat mindfully and avoid processed junk food.
    Unlike rigid meal plans, the 75 Soft Challenge encourages you to make thoughtful choices without labeling foods as entirely off-limits.

  4. Read 10 pages of a book daily.
    Choose something inspiring, educational, or just plain enjoyable. This step nourishes your mind while keeping screen time in check. I’ve ordered this book and can’t wait to dive in!

  5. Journal or reflect at the end of the day.
    Use this time to note what you’re grateful for, what you achieved, or simply how you’re feeling.

  6. Incorporate mindfulness through meditation.

When I decided to begin the 75 Soft Challenge, I knew I didn’t want to wait until January 1st.
