BFB hair extensions

Ever since I experienced extreme hair loss after fighting my high fever last summer, I’ve been on the hunt for a solution to get my length and volume back. I went back and forth of getting the beaded extensions, but I wasn’t ready to commit to the cost and all the maintenance that goes into them. I first came across bfbhair last Black Friday and said, why the hell not. They had great reviews + thought it wouldn’t hurt trying the clip in’s first!

What sets bfb hair apart from others?

First off, their hair is ethically sourced and 100% human remy hair and latex lined for a solid all-day hold. I’m not going to lie, I had to do some research on what remy hair meant. So what is it? Remy hair is high-quality human hair, which has its epidermis retained. This characteristic allows it to move in the same direction + features a service life of up to a year and is known for blending perfectly with the wearer’s hair. Cherry on top is that they are easy peasy to put in and take out!

Who can use bfb hair extensions?

Everyone! They have 3 different lengths (14” / 21” / 24”), fill-in’s that are designed for specifically adding thickness and exxtra thick wefts for all the up do’s of your dreams.

How do you install your bfb hair?

I feel like it will be a little different for everyone. A couple weeks ago I realized I didn’t have to use every weft. I actually only use 5-6 of the clip-ins. I found that my hair is still a little to thin on top to fully cover the clips, so I put in less and it totally helped solve the problem! It will take some trial and error. Their IG page has a ton of hair inpo’s but they also have another account designated for all the how to’s!

How do you store the hair when not using them?

Mine came in a cute little leather pouch that I place them in under my bathroom sink. They also recommended hanging them up.

It took me seeing an IG video to figure out there was more than one way to curl my hair LOL You’ll be able to see the difference of curl from the 2 outside pictures compared to the middle photo.

For a full curl I hold the curling iron at a 45-degree angle and have the whole strand of hair around the barrel. The photo in the middle - I hold the curling iron straight up and down and leave about 1-2 inches out from the barrel! I leave the curls alone until I am completely done to let them cool then take a brush through them at the end. Don’t forget run your hands through the ends after with the Olaplex Bonding Oil.
