BEAUTY PRODUCTS FOR FALL
Weather, temps and activities are all changing and so does our selfcare routine. Now, I am by no means a dermatologist, but I do know I need to change my skin routine from season to season.
Just like your wardrobe, the clothes you wear in the summer won’t feel as good in the winter. Ya feel me? In the summertime I am exfoliating more and have lighter moisturizers while in the winter I am switching to foaming cleansers and creamy moisturizers. These might be no brainers for some, but I thought I’d share some products I use more as we start going into the colder seasons!
ZO Oil/Acne Control Pads - I started using this last year randomly after I ran out of makeup remover wipes, and they were a game.changer for my skin. It helps remove dead skin cells, dirt and oil from the pores while helping minimize them. They were 100% worth swapping out with wipes. Now, I use Makeup Erasers to take off my makeup first then use one of these pads after to help get what’s left on my skin! Side note - I was 100% skeptical of the Makeup Erasers but I can promise they are WORTH it, especially taking off your eye makeup at night!
Beautycounter’s Foaming Cleanser - As we go into the colder seasons, we want to make sure we are easing up on exfoliation. I exfoliate about 4 times a week during the summer and go down to only twice a week in the winter. With cold temps drying out my skin quicker, I make sure I am adding a foaming cleanser into my routine. This foaming cleanser helps remove dirt and oil while not disrupting the skin’s moisture. Leaves me skin feeling clean and moisturized!
Laneige Hydrating Lip Mask - I keep this on my nightstand so I can lather my lips up every night! I use this year-round, but I thought it would be worth mentioning if you haven’t tried it yet. Throw it on before you go to bed to get intense moisture and antioxidants while you sleep!
Beautycounter’s All Bright C Serum - My holy grail product. This is a product that I crave using as soon as I get up, like when you smell coffee in the morning. I use this baby year-round but it’s going to be even more important to make sure you are using a Vit C product to help your skin out from all the sun this summer! Now, this is $90 but you are going to get what you pay for. With the supercharged 10% potency of two forms of vitamin c, your skin is going to see a dramatic difference in evening your skin tone, reduced sunspots and improved skin radiance using it every AM. You can also use this product as an oil or facial toner! If you want to test it out first, the mini is a great option too :)
Brazilian Bum Bum Body Cream - If you’re like me, you might have thought this is a cream for your butt, but you’ll learn it is for your whole body! It is known for its addictive scent but also for its fast absorption. It is incredibly hydrating and is the perfect body cream to lather up in after a warm shower!
Mighty Patch - This is straight up magic, and I am so happy someone was smart enough to create these LOL When you have a zit, rather than picking at it and irritating it for days, throw a patch over it before you go to bed. This little patch extracts the pimple without popping! This is hands down my favorite product right now, and my daughters. This is a product that actually works and is affordable. When you come across them, I recommend grabbing a couple packets because these bad boys are in high demand!
Peace Out Retinal Stick - I randomly grabbed this a couple months ago and it quickly became a fan favorite of mine. A concentrated serum-balm with encapsulated retinol to address dark circles, fine lines, wrinkles, and texture for smoother-looking eyes. I apply a couple swipes after I have my nighttime skin care on and let it work its magic. I would say the mix of using this and Botox has helped the wrinkles around my eyes soften! I do now it has 100% helped the darkness under my eyes. There is still some darkness, but not nearly as much as before. I think this is a great product to grab for age prevention!
AHA + BHA Exfoliating Peeling Solution - Full heads up, shit tingles when you put it on! They also recommend to only use it once a week because it is such a strong formula with 30% AHA (help promote new skin cell growth) and 2% BHA (help unclog pores). Another product I enjoy using to help fight any damage caused from the summer!
