NYC Girl’s Trip: Outfit Recap

There’s nothing quite like a trip to New York City, and this recent girl's trip was one for the books! From morning brunches to late-night outings at gay bars, each day demanded a look that was stylish, comfortable, and perfect for the bustling city vibe. I styled my looks to be chic yet functional for the city that never sleeps.

Where we stayed: Hotel Hugo

Always going to keep it transparent with you, we were not blown away by any. It was a good location but felt a little dungy and outdated. If you’re looking to stay in SoHo I would check out Modern Haus, one of my girlfriends stayed there and she swears up and down by it. Next trip I will be looking at Park Lane - it gives a more elevated vibe and closet to Central Park, etc.

Day 1

Arrival & Dinner

For my first night out in SoHo, I opted for a bold black tube top and classic coat for an effortlessly elevated look. Perfect for blending comfort with NYC chic! Honestly my go-to look for when I don’t want to put a lot of effort into my outfit but want to feel good. See this look here.

Dinner: Boucherie (French cuisine in SoHo)

Day 2

Explore SoHo + Kelsea Ballerini Concert

Shopping day called for a polished but comfy look! Sam Edelman flats were my footwear of choice, of course. See this look here.

Concert night demanded a little extra glam! I went for this edgy combo of a leather jacket and wide-leg jeans (aka chic biker gang). See this look here.

Dinner: Ci Siamo (Italian food, an absolute MUST)

Bar after the concert: Flamming Saddles

DAY 3

Shopping Day + Quite Girls Night Out

Oversized blazers and knee-high boots kept me stylish and ready to hit every store. Also, these Dolce Vita boots were the MVP and MW (most worn) piece the whole trip. They were quite literally made for walking, so comfortable.

There’s literally nothing like shopping in Canal in SoHo. My favorite shopping BY FAR. You have stores like Zara, Aritzia or Bloomingdales to Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Saint Laurent a street over. Momma treated herself to a new bag to bring home. Let’s all give Ruby a warm welcome. See this look here!

Dinner: Dante (quite and quaint but the food was DELICIOUS)

Card Game: Girl Code + For the Girls

This day was just Kell and I. We got to experience Plaza Tea and I 100000% recommend experiencing. From caviar and champagne to tea and cucumber sandwiches, you are living your 8 year old dreams in your 30+ year old body. We went for a walk in Central Park afterwards and walked about to some shops before dinner. See this look here.

To grab a reservation at the exclusive Polo Bar, Kelley was able to get us a table through Amex concierge. I grabbed the filet but 10/10 recommend getting their burger (it’s what their known for).

Day 5

Homebound

I wore my latest loungewear obsession (Alo set) on the flight home. To help make my bags lighter I wore my AF trench on the plane as well. I have the Alo hoodies and the Alo crewneck and I’m reaching for the crewnecks more lately along with the wide leg sweatpants. See this look here!

Every look on this trip balanced style and comfort, essential for NYC's pace and vibe. Each outfit was designed to make transitioning from day to night easy and seamless, whether exploring neighborhoods or enjoying nightlife. A girl's trip to NYC demands a mix of fashion and functionality—these looks hit the mark!
